A funny thing happenedSubmitted By: Kenn Coates of K C Legal And Estate Services - Will Writers in Leicestershire Category Type: Business Article Date Submitted: 05-10-2009 19:30:30 Actually, it's not funny at all. Mr L married his partner. Time went by. They had 2 children. They bought a house and each made a will. Mrs L fell out of love with Mr L and left him for Mr G. They got married. Mr L was forced to sell the family home to fund the divorce settlement, and the ex-Mrs L took half of a considerable sum into her new marriage. Several months later the now Mrs G went into hospital for a routine operation. She never recovered conciousness after the general anaesthetic and died. The will she made as Mrs L was revoked automatically when she married Mr G, but she never thought of that and hadn't made a new will. Under the terms of probate or intestacy everything Mrs G owned passed to Mr G. Her children by her first marriage got nothing.
