Battle of willsSubmitted By: Kenn Coates of K C Legal And Estate Services - Will Writers in Leicestershire Category Type: Business Article Date Submitted: 13-10-2009 16:13:48 In this article it can be seen what can happen when a widowed person remarries. Had their parents made a Protective Property Trust will the daughters would at least have inherited their mother´s share of the property. In a PPT will the house would have been owned by Mr & Mrs Frost as Tenants in Common, i.e. each would have owned 50% of the house. (This is not the same as owning the property jointly). When Mrs Frost died her 50% would have gone into a trust for her daughters and nothing Mr Frost did in his subsequent will would have changed that. It is entirely possible that he envisaged his daughters inheriting from their step mother, in which case he should probably have willed her a lifetime right of residence while making it clear that his daughters were to inherit the house ultimately.
