I provide a confidential Will writing service at a time to suit you and either at your home or office.

My objective is to help you make a Will that accurately reflects your wishes. 

I am an Associate Member of The Society of Will Writers and I hold the requisite Professional Indemnity Insurance and Data Protection Certificate. I have also been CRB checked.  I always show all relevant Certificates when we first meet.

Within your Will you can:

·        Appoint Executors of your choice to obtain Probate and carry out the instructions in your Will.

·        Decide who you would like to look after your children in the event of your early death.

·        Ensure that your cohabitee inherits.

·        Protect your childrenīs inheritance should your partner re-marry after your death. (By use of an appropriate Property Protective Trust or Discretionary Trust)

·        Ensure that stepchildren will inherit. (Stepchildren do not automatically inherit unless provided for in a Will)

·        Indicate whether you want to be buried or cremated, and provide any special instructions for your funeral.

·        Plan how your family will survive financially after your death. (Will they need to sell the family home to pay Inheritance Tax ? Can this risk be reduced?)

·        Pass on particular gifts or make special provisions for friends and/or charities.

.       Plan for the continuation of any business interests in your absence.

A Will is one of the most important documents you will create. I aim to simplify the Will making process so that you can be sure that your wishes will be carried out.  I also offer the option of lifetime Document Storage at Kings Court Trust Limited in Bath, for a single small fee to minimise the possibility of loss or destruction of your Will.  An optional Probate service is available if required and this is also quoted at a fixed price at the time of need. I do not write Wills appointing professional Executors with unknown fees for probate services.

If requested I can prepare Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) documentation and register same at The Office of The Public Guardian (OPG) so that if you become mentally incapable of managing your affairs your chosen attorney (or attornies) can take care of your property and financial matters (or medical decisions involving your care if this type of LPA has also been prepared) until you recover. I am a "Certificate Provider", and offer the service of registering the LPA at the OPG in advance so that the risk of error and therefore rejection is minimised.
